The Hall welcomed Bishop John Arnold, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster and recently-appointed Bishop of Salford, as our guest speaker at dinner on Tuesday 25 November. The Bishop, who is chair of CAFOD, emphasised the importance of development in charity work. He described some of the projects he has been involved in and the jarring effect of returning to central London after spending time in some of the world’s poorest countries and territories, including a recent visit to the Gaza strip. Dr Frances Reynolds, the Presiding Fellow, thanked the Bishop for presenting such a “moving and inspiring” talk.
