GIVING TO ST BENET'S

Music

Lay candidates for St Benet’s should be supportive of monastic life and appreciate monastic values and community. They are likely to want to play some part in the life of the Chapel and liturgy of the Hall.

The chapel has a fine 18th Century Baroque Organ, formerly owned by the late Thurston Dart, pioneer in authentic performance of early Music.

A Lenz boudoir grand piano is available for student practice. With ready access to the richness of musical life here in Oxford, those at St Benet's find plenty of opportunities to participate in choirs and ensembles across the University.

St Benet's offers a choral scholarship each year to an undergraduate willing to support the liturgical life of the Hall. This is open to undergraduates reading any subject offered by the Hall.
