GIVING TO ST BENET'S

Liturgy

All are always welcome at the Hall's liturgy.

Divine Office
The Divine Office is recited daily in Chapel during termtime as follows, with the exceptions noted below.

Monday to Saturday (inclusive):
07.00 Matins and Lauds (English)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday:
18.30 Vespers & Compline (English)

Tuesday and Thursday:
18.30 Sung Plainsong Vespers
21.40 Sung Compline (English)

Eucharist
07.30 Sung Plainsong Eucharist (Monday-Saturday inclusive)
10.00 Sunday Eucharist: Latin Plainsong, English Hymns, Homily

Arrangements for the Divine Office and Eucharist outside full term are dependent upon the availability of the resident community.

Although the Chapel is part of the Hall, and not therefore a parish church, it is the tradition of a Benedictine community to welcome all to share in the prayer life of the brethren. Therefore the Divine Office and Eucharist are open to all. For access arrangements for liturgies other than the Sunday Eucharist please contact the Administrator (administrator@stb.ox.ac.uk).
